Watch Strap Sizing Guide

Find Your Lug Width

The "Lug Width" is the internal distance between the two horns (lugs) of your watch case where the strap connects.

This must be exact (i.e. a 19mm strap will leave a gap on a 20mm watch, and a 22mm strap will not fit securely within a 20mm space).

How to Measure:

  1. Check the back: Many straps have the size stamped on the back lining (e.g., "19, 20, 22").
  2. Use a ruler/caliper: Measure the gap strictly from the inside of one lug to the inside of the other.
  3. Verify online: Search '[Your Watch + Model Number] lug width' to confirm manufacturer specifications.

Pro-Tip: Watch out for odd sizes. Vintage watches often use 19mm, while modern Rolex/Seiko are usually 20mm or 22mm.

Quick Reference Guide — The "Strap Monsters"

Brand Model Series Lug Width
Rolex Submariner (pre-2020) 20mm
Rolex Submariner (2020 & newer) 21mm
Rolex Datejust 36 20mm
Omega Speedmaster Professional 20mm
Omega Seamaster Diver 300M 20mm
Tudor Black Bay 58 20mm
Seiko SKX007 / SRPD / 5 Sports 22mm

Determine Your Strap Length

Strap length is denoted by two numbers (e.g., 120mm + 80mm) — the "tail" side (long end) and the "buckle" side (short end).

While the total length exceeds your wrist size, this is necessary to accommodate the watch case and allow the tail to tuck neatly for a streamlined look.

How to Find Your Fit: Simply wrap a piece of string around your wrist bone to measure your circumference. If you measure between 6.5" and 7.5", our standard size is designed to provide the perfect fit.

  • "Taper" refers to how the strap narrows from the watch head down to the buckle. This subtle detail is what gives a watch strap its elegance and comfort on the wrist.

  • Standard Taper (e.g., 20mm → 18mm)

The most common configuration. It provides a perfect balance of presence and comfort.

  • Vintage / Dress (e.g., 20mm → 16mm)

A dramatic taper often seen on vintage Rolex and dress watches. It offers a refined, classic look.

  • Straight (e.g., 22mm → 22mm)

Common on rugged dive watches where durability is the priority.
